Jirka was a CTO. Peter ran a 50-person engineering domain. Between them, 35 years building and leading engineering orgs with real stakes. They built Navigara because the right instrument didn’t exist, so they kept assembling it themselves, in spreadsheets, until they couldn’t.

The hardest part was never the technology. It was showing the business what engineering had actually done.
